Jessica Biel Bites

Against my better judgment, I am uploading this to my gallery. This is my first attempt at painting a face and you might not know it from looking at it but I used a reference pic of Jessica Biel. hehehe...

This was not painted in the way I usually do this -- with a lot of layers -- because I wanted to try something new. I don't think I will be using this technique again coz it just didn't work for me and was too much of a hassle painting on just one layer. Besides it was a lot of trouble painting the edges.

Many thanks to =BikerScout for the excellent tutorials and it was his speed painting tutorial that was the inspiration for this. The tutorials are invaluable and everyone interested in digital painting should check it out. Although my attempt does not do justice to what he has attempted to show in the tutorial I found them to be very helpful and inspirational.

On a last note, this one is for *damaskangel coz she managed to capture my 3000 pageviews. I was not going to paint a face so soon after learning to paint but =Meyra insisted I should tackle one. Well, here it is hehehe... for better or worse. But I am looking at the bright side: I can only get better, right?
