Be Mine

This is my entry for "Be My Valentine Challenge".

I recently joined =ManipulateThis and the contest they were currently holding was a Valentine's Day-based one. I thought I'd give it a pass coz I wasn't interested in making a V-Day manip. But then I thought what the heck and gave it a go anyway...

I might not enter this into the contest if I am not happy with it by the time I am done with it.

Right now I am not very happy with it but I love the way the water turned out. It was made completely in Photoshop without any photos. Not too happy with the swans' shadows though. And the pink is driving me nuts. Gah!

The only stock I've used are the pictures of swans and heart texture that was given for use in the contest. No other stocks were used. I used a lot of brushes though. I loaded so many I am not sure which ones to credit so I'll include them all.

UPDATE: I am finally done with it. If it wasn't official before it's now official that I am sick of pink. I took =Meyra's advice and got rid of the two swan silhouettes near the horizon. Also masked the swans again more properly before placing them in the picture. Still don't like the shadow but didn't know how to fix it. Although I still don't feel 100% happy with it I think I will enter this in the contest.

Had to make the 'Hearts' texture more prominent in the background as per the rules of the =ManipulateThis contest. Hope it's ok now.
